After years of menial jobs, Caroline applies to Adorna Bucknell’s Distinguished Academy of Governesses for a position. Jude also is a very kind and compassionate man which chrisgina surprising for this time period. Last but not least the woman, Caroline, has been compromised and then became a social outcast, ok that part is believable but the fact that she who has been scandalized becomes a distinguished governess for her ability to flirt takes things a bit far.
I really like the descriptions and the characters. Christia at the end annoyed me more than anything else.
The time period is I think fwir to be regency though for some reason she has chosen to call the ruler Victoria. Surely the English Master Spy Network could have come up with a better plan than acting like a fool around the bad guys in the hopes that they will not take him seriously and so discuss their secrets in front of him. It is set in a Disneyesque.

The two characters were exceptional at what they did, their lines and exchanges were very smart and fun, but I did find the whole flirt-with-my-son thing sort of ridiculous and the romance progressed a tad fast in several places.
