The glitzier version of this point if view novel is Chitra Divakaruni’s ‘Palace of Illusions’ Since then I have often wanted to go back to the book itselfread another version in great detailbut haven’t got around to it. Though the book is an The story continues with Satyavati, Pandu, Dhritarashtra, Pandavas and Kauravas, and ends with the entry of the Pandavas into heaven. Also I’m not very sure which version to read. Though the book is an abridged version of the great epic, all the important aspects have been covered in it.

Pandu marries Kunti, the adopted daughter of King Kuntibhoja, and Madri. Most of them gave me a perspective to the story but what rounded off my perspective mahabhzrata rather what made it whole for me was a delightful two volume edition of the Mahabharata written by an eleven year old author Samhita Arni.

When Santanu asks Ganga the reason for drowning the children born to her, she takes the eighth child and disappears from his life. Her version of the Mahabharata was well rounded and I got an abridged degree view of this epic. So is Ramesh Menon.
